Essentials
Can I revoke a data license?
By SourceX Editorial · Updated
Short answer
Only as the license allows. Most licenses can be ended for breach, and some have fixed terms with deletion at the end. Models already trained may be treated differently, so negotiate those terms up front.
Termination rights#
Breach, insolvency and end of term are common triggers.
What happens to trained models#
Many licenses let trained models survive; others don't. It's a key term.
How SourceX handles it#
SourceX starts with a short fit check that shares no data. If it fits, rights are reviewed, a copy is prepared with personal and confidential details removed, and your company approves exactly what leaves before anything is delivered under a signed license.
