What happens to my data after an AI company buys it?
By SourceX Editorial · Updated
Short answer
Under a typical license, the buyer may use the data only as permitted — for example training or evaluating models — must keep it secure, and may need to delete it at the end of the term. Note that trained models may retain learned patterns, so define terms carefully.
Usage limits
Set in the agreement.
Deletion
Specify what is deleted and when.
