Will my customers' or employees' information be shared?
The fit check never asks for customer or employee records. If a deal goes ahead, you approve the scope before anything leaves your company, and, as the signed agreement specifies, SourceX de-identifies the data, directly or through its processing partner, before it is used or shared. No method is perfect: the agreement records that re-identification may still be possible and that SourceX is not liable for it.
Can I back out?
Yes, at any point before you sign, at no cost. Once an agreement is signed, its terms apply, and you approve those terms first. Once SourceX has selected the data in writing and paid the fee, its license is permanent.
Does applying mean I have to sell my data?
Applying doesn't commit you to anything. You decide whether to go ahead once you've seen the proposed scope and terms.
What kind of companies qualify?
Best suited to companies with 50+ full-time employees at peak (contractors excluded) and several years of operating history. SourceX prioritizes companies in the U.S. and also works with companies in Canada and the EU, and with companies in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, South Africa, Latin America, the UAE and Saudi Arabia when at least 90% of their data is in English. Companies that are still operating, acquired, or wound down can all qualify.
What are the standard deal terms?
SourceX usually pays a one-time fee for the dataset in the agreement; some agreements set recurring deliveries, each paid as the agreement states. There are no royalties or usage fees. SourceX's written selection permits an invoice, and payment is due Net 60 from SourceX's receipt of it. You keep ownership of your original data. Exclusivity for AI training is perpetual as standard, or 24 or 12 months by agreement; rights to the prepared dataset, review and confidentiality are set by your signed agreement. Will I have to agree to exclusivity?
Yes, as standard. Every first offer asks for perpetual exclusivity for AI training: you agree not to license the same data elsewhere for AI training. It restricts you, not SourceX, which keeps the right to distribute or sublicense the deidentified dataset. If you push back, we can agree a 24-month or 12-month term instead. Non-exclusive licensing is available by agreement and is priced substantially lower, roughly a quarter of the exclusive range. You see the terms before you agree.
